A committee has nine members A, B, C, D, E. F. G, H and I and it is
divided into three groups, viz Play group, Entertainment group and Food
group — with three members in each group. There are certain conditions
for the formation of the groups.
Only three members will be selected in each group. One person cannot
be selected for more than one group. A is in the Play group. H is in the
Entertainment group. C and D are in the same group but not in the group
of I. A and B are not in the same group. E is not in the same group as I
but is in the Food group. F is in the group in which either H or B or both
of them are present. I and H are not in the same group. F is neither with
E nor with I.

Six persons A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting in row - I facing South but not
necessarily in the same order and each of them is working in a different
company among Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, SAPIENT , HDFC and Axis.
Six persons P, Q, R, S, T and U are sitting in row - II facing north but not
necessarily in the same order and each of them is working in a different
company among Google, Infosys, Accenture, IBM, Capital One and
ICICI. Each person in one row faces exactly one person from the other
row.
A is third from the left end and is opposite the person who is to the
immediate right of the IBM employee. The IBM employee is opposite the
person who is to the immediate left of the TCS employee. The Google
employee and the SAPIENT employee sit at right ends in their
respective rows. C is a SAPIENT employee, and is adjacent to E. D sits
opposite Q and to the left of A but does not sit at any extreme. B is not
adjacent to D but opposite P. The ICICI employee sits neither at an end
nor opposite A, but sits to the right of P. The Accenture employee is
adjacent to neither the Infosys employee nor the Capital One employee.
S sits at an end. R is opposite the Amazon employee but sits at neither
end. T is opposite the HDFC employee and the Microsoft employee is
second to the right of the Axis employee. The Capital One employee is
not adjacent to P.

Six exams Maths, science, History, Economics, English and Hindi are to
be scheduled starting from 2nd March and ending on 8th march wit
Sunday being an off day, not
necessarily in the same order. Each of the exam has different time
duration: 40 mins, 50 mins, 60 mins, 75 mins, 90 mins and 100 mins,
again not necessarily in the same order.
8th march is not sunday and an exam of 40 mins is scheduled on that
day. Maths exam is for less than 60 mins and is scheduled immediately
before English exam. There are two exams scheduled between Hindi
exam which is for 100 mins and History exam which is for 60 mins.
English exam is before Sunday and there are two days between sunday
and maths exam. Economics exam which is for 75 mins is not scheduled
on 2nd march. The exam schedules on saturday is of 100 mins.

P, Q, R, S, W, X, Y, Z are sitting around a circle facing centre but not necessarily in
the same order. The husband of Z is sitting second to the right of Q who is sitting
between two males. X sits second to the left of the daughter of S. X is the sister of Y.
X is not an immediate neighbour of Z's husband. Only one person sits between P
and X. P is the father of Y. S who is brother of Z sits to the immediate left of his
mother. Only one person sits between Z's mother and W. Only one person sits
between Z and Y. Y is mother of R. Y is not an immediate neighbour of W.

centre of the table in a restaurant. They have ordered for different items (Pizza,

for the lunch and colours of T-shirts are not necessarily according to the order of their

(i)There are five types of cards viz. A, B, C, D and E. There are three cards of each
type. These are to be inserted in envelopes of three colours – Red, Yellow and Brown.
There are five envelopes of each colour.
(ii)B, D and E type cards are inserted in red envelopes. A, B and C type cards are to be
inserted in yellow envelopes and C, D and E type cards are to be inserted in brown
envelopes.
(iii)Two cards each of B and D type are inserted in red envelopes.
There are six persons A, B, C, D, E and F in school. Each of the teachers teaches
two subjects, one compulsory subject and the other optional subject. D’s optional
subject was History while three others have it as compulsory subject. E and F have
Physics as one of their subjects. F’s compulsory subject is Mathematics which is an
optional subject of both C and E. History and English are A’s subjects but in terms of
compulsory and optional subjects, they are just reverse of those of D’s. Chemistry is
an optional subject of only one of them. The only female teacher in the school has
English as her compulsory subject.

Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad by different modes of transport of
Bus,Train, Aeroplane, Car and Boat from Mumbai.

any of the buildings. Q is flying a pink and does not live in Ridge
building. U does not live in the same building as A or P and is flying a
yellow coloured kite. D lives in Ridge building with only one more person
and is flying a green kite. None in the Top-view building flies a white kite.

Six banks clerks Anu, Esha, Indu, Om, Uma and Yogi are working in
three SBI associates banks – SBI Patiala, SBI Hyderabad, SBI Mysore.
They are belonging to four different cities i.e. Delhi, Dehradoon, Agra
and Ajmer. At least one clerk qorks in each bank and at least one clerk
belong to each city. Uma works either in SBI Patiala or SBI Mysore. One
clerk of SBI Hyderabd belongs to Delhi. Esha eithr belongs to Delhi or
Dehradoon and does not work in SBI Hydrerabad. Yogi does not work
with Om and Esha. Indu works in SBI Patiala and she is not from Delhi.
Both the clerks of SBI Mysore are not from Ajmer. Anu is not from Ajmer
and Om work with SBI Patiala. Two persons belong to Delhi and they
don’t work with SBI Mysore. Person from Agra does not work in SBI
Patiala. Uma is from Delhi and Om is not from Dehradoon. Clerks of
same bank’s does not belong to same city.

K occupies the same type of berth as that of the Doctor.

companies: X, Y and Z. Out of these, two are female who work in
different companies and have different specializations. Two of them are
specialists in Finance, two in HR, two in Marketing and one each is an
Engineer and a Computer Specialist. D, working in a company X has
specialized in HR and her friend G, a Finance Specialist is working in
company Z. H, an HR specialist, is working with B, a Marketing
Specialist and does not work in company Y.
C is not a Computer Specialist. No two people with the same
specialization work together. F is a specialist in Marketing working in
company Y and his friend A has specialized in Finance and is working
company X with only one another Specialist. Not more than three of
them work in company Z. No female is an Engineer or a Computer
Specialist.
