Six friends—E, F, G, H, J, and K —are sitting around a circular table facing the centre not necessarily in the same order. They play different sports – Cricket, Hockey, Badminton, Chess, Football and Tennis. Each has different professions – Lawyer, Banker, Engineer, Professor, Doctor and Businessman.
The persons who play Chess and Hockey are neither Doctor nor Businessman. E neither plays Tennis nor sits on the immediate left of the person who is Banker. The only person who is between J and K is Lawyer. The person who is on the left side of the person who likes Tennis is not Businessman. H is Banker and likes to play Hockey. He is facing the person who is Lawyer.
One who is a Doctor is sitting opposite the person who plays Football, while the person who plays Hockey is on the left of the person who is Professor. One who is Businessman is on the immediate right of the person who likes Tennis but on the left of the person who is Engineer. G is not Engineer and K is not Doctor.
F, G, H, K, L, M, N and O are eight students. Each of them has a different favourite subject – English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Sociology, Philosophy and History but not necessarily in the same order. All of them are sitting around a circular table and facing the centre. Neither F nor H is an immediate neighbour of L. Neither F nor H has Biology as his favourite subject. L sits third to the left of the person whose favourite subject is Biology. Only two persons sit between F and H. The student whose favourite subject is History sits second to the right of O. O is not an immediate neighbour of L. O does not the have Biology as his favourite subject and History is not the favourite subject of L. The person whose favourite subject is English sits third to the left of K. The students with favourite subjects as English and Biology are not immediate neighbours. Only one person sits between O and the person whose favourite subject is Physics. Persons with favourite subjects as Chemistry and Mathematics are immediate neighbours. Mathematics is not the favourite subject of O. Only one person sits between M and the person whose favourite subject is Sociology. The person with Sociology as his favourite subject is an immediate neighbour of G. H and M are not immediate neighbours.
Six persons, viz Sinha, Saini, Bhagat, Yadav, Gupta and Mishra plan to go to six different hill stations, viz Manali, Kullu, Mussourie, Rishikesh, Shimla and Nainital. They wish to go in six different months, viz January, March, May, June, August and December. Two of them want to travel by bus and two by rail and others are planning to go either by car or by flight. Following information is also given. I. Gupta goes to Manali but neither by air nor by bus. II. Sinha prefers bus journey but travels neither in August nor in May. III. Neither Mishra nor Saini goes either to Shimla or to Mussourie. IV. Rishikesh is visited in December. V. Persons going to Kullu and Shimla go by bus and car respectively. VI. Mr Bhagat goes to Nainital in March by air but Mishra does not travel in December
subjects viz Electronics, Robotics, Arts, Commerce, Computer, Java,
Mechanics and Painting but not necessarily in the same order. All of
them are sitting around a circular table but not facing the centre.
• W sits third to the right of S. P and R and also their immediate
neighbors do not teach Electronics. Only one teacher sits between T
and the Electronics teacher.
• Java and Arts teachers are immediate neighbor of each other. P is
neither Computer nor Java teacher.
• Only one teacher sits between U and Commerce teacher. U does
not teach either Electronics or Arts.
• P sits third to the left of V. V teaches Robotics. S is not the
immediate neighbor of either P or V. The one who teaches Painting is
an immediate neighbor of S.
• Three teachers sit between V and the Mechanics teacher. W is not
teaching either Electronics or Painting.
Five friends A, B, C, D and E are working in 5 different
Companies P, Q, R, S and T and they earn different salaries
i.e. Rs 9000, Rs 12000, Rs 15000, Rs 18000 and Rs 21000
and they all are of different ages i.e. 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30
years not necessarily in same order.
• Person who is 29 year old earns highest salary but does not
work at P and Q.
• E does not work at S and T and his age is not 30.
• The salary of D is less than Rs 15000.
• The person who is 27 years old earns Rs 18000 per month.
• A earns Rs 12000 per month but does not work at Q and S.
• B works at P and earns more than Rs 15000.
• Person who is 28 years old works at T.
• 30 years old person earns at least Rs 15000.
Brock, Kane, Undertaker, Khali, Johncena, Bigshow,
Batista and Mark are eight fighters sitting around a circular
table. Four of them are facing towards the centre and four
of them are facing away from the centre. All of them like a
different movie, viz. Tamasha, Bajirao, Dilwale, Massan,
Airlift, Sultan, Dangal and Ready, but not necessarily in the
same order.
Johncena faces towards the centre and likes Tamasha.
Both the immediate neighbours of Johncena face away
from the centre and like Dilwale or Massan. Khali faces
away from the centre. Both the immediate neighbours of
Khali do not face away from the centre. Johncena sits third
to the right of Bigshow, who likes Airlift and faces away
from the centre. Undertaker sits third to the left of
Bigshow.
The one who likes Dilwale sits opposits of Bigshow. The
one who likes Bajirao is not the immediate neighbour of
Bigshow and faces away from the centre. Brock sits
second to the left of Undertaker and does not like Dangal
or Ready. The one who likes Dangal sits between Mark and
Bigshow. Kane faces away from the centre and does not
like Bajirao.
Ten persons are sitting in two parallel rows containing five
persons each. In row 1, Amitabh, Rakesh , Akshay, Arti and
Ritesh are sitting and all of them are facing south. In row 2,
Jaya, Poonam, Twinkle, Gaurav and Jenelia are sitting and
all of them are facing north. In the given seating
arrangement, each member seated in a row faces another
member of the other row. Moreover, each of them belongs
to different cities — Meerut, Gurgaon, Begusarai, Hajipur,
Noida, Cuttack, Banaras, Haridwar, Allahabad and
Mednipur but not necessarily in the same order.
There are only two persons sitting between the person
from Merrut, who sits at an extreme end, and Ritesh. Jaya,
who sits in the middle of the row, is not an immediate
neighbour of Poonam, who is not from Mednipur. Jenelia is
sitting at an extreme end. Ritesh, from Noida , sits on the
immediate right of the person from Gurgaon and faces the
immediate neighhour of Poonam. Rakesh is not sitting at
the extreme left end. Jaya is not from Allahabad. There is
only one person between Akshay and Arti, who is from
Meerut. Gaurav, from Cuttack, is an immediate neighbour
of the person from Mednipur and does not face the person
from Begusarai.Twinkle, who is from Hajipur, is an
immediate neighbour of the person from Allahabad, who in
turn faces the immediate neighbour of the person from
Noida. There are two persons between the person from
Banarasand the person from Begusarai. Rakesh is not
from Banaras. Jenelia is not from Haridwar.
World Cup is being organised by India. Different teams are
participating in the World Cup. Seven teams which are
participating are – Pakistan, Australia, Srilanka, India, Kenya,
South Africa and West Indies. They will be playing there
matches at different places, namely Delhi, Ranchi, Chennai,
Nagpur, Chandigarh and Mumbai, but not necessarily in the
same order, on different days of the week, starting from
Monday.
Pakistan will be playing at Ranchi, but neither on Friday nor on
Monday.
The host country will be playing on Thursday at Nagpur.
There is a gap of one day between Pakistan and India match.
South Africa will be playing the match before West Indies but
after Kenya at Cuttack on Wednesday.
West Indies will be playing on the last day of the week.
Australia will be playing at Mumbai.
No match will be played at Delhi on Monday.
The match at Chandigarh will be played on the last day of the
week.
The match at Chennai will be played on Tuesday.
No match will be played at Mumbai on Tuesday and Friday.
Eight players—HshimAmla, De Villiers, Dale Steyn, JP Duminy,
Imran Tahir, MorneMorkel, David Miller and Dean Elgar are
sitting in three lines L1, L2 and L3. And they are in three
different categories, either batsman or bowler or all rounder. In
each line at least two and at most three players aresitting there.
And at least two players are in each category but not more than
three.
De Villiers and Dale Steyn are in different lines but not in
lineL2, and both are in same categories. Dean Elgar and David
Miller are in same line and in same categories, but not all
rounders. JP Duminyand Imran Tahir are in different lines but
not in line L1 andin different categories butnot all rounder.
HashimAmla is in LineL2 and JP Duminy is not in same line as
in HashimAmla. Both players of lineL2 are bowlers.
MorneMorkel is all rounder andnot in line L1. From three all
rounder two are line in L3. MorneMorkel and Dale Steyn are
insame line and there are three batsmen.
(i) Seven teachers Prashant, Vidushi, Vandana, Aniket, Neeraj,
Meena and Priyanka teach in the science section of XII of a
particular school. They teach one of the following subjects
Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Maths
(ii) Physics and Chemistry are teached by two teachers.
(iii) Both the Chemistry teachers and one from Zoology and
Maths each has cleared UGC (NET).
(iv) Four female teachers are Vidushi, Vandana, Meena and
Priyanka. Of them two are married. Two teachers are members
of PTA executive council, out of which only one is male.
However, none of the married teachers are its members.
(v) All the married teachers except one are class teachers of
one class or the other. There are four married teachers
Prashant, Vidushi, Aniket and Meena. There are three subject
teachers.
(vi) None of the married women teachers have cleared UGC(NET). Two male teachers have cleared NET out of which
one is married. he is Mr.Prashant, a subject teacher. He is not
from PCM stream. He teaches Botany or Zoology.
(vii) The PTA members are subject teachers and not class
teachers.
(viii) PTA members teach same subject.
(ix) Only Mrs.Vidushi teaches Botany. Priyanka is a class
teacher.
