we are started to post daily vocab form The Hindu and other editorial. Right Now I am posting all vocab which can be easy or hard for person to person.
- 1. Referendum - a vote in which all the people in a country or an area are asked to give their opinion about or decide an important political or social question
- 2. Escalate - to become or make something become greater or more serious
- 3. High-voltage - very exciting and full of energy
- 4. Campaign - a series of things that a politician or political party does to try to win an election
- 5. Constitutional - allowed by the constitution of a country or organization
- 6. Reform - a change that is intended to correct a situation that is wrong or unfair, or make a system work more effectively
- 7. Relatively - in comparison with someone or something similar
- 8. Stable - firmly fixed or not likely to move or change
- 9. Glitch - a small problem or fault that prevents something from being successful or working as well as it should
- 10. Ally - a country that has agreed officially to give help and support to another one
- 11. Drew up - to prepare something
- 12. Rally - a public meeting of a large group of people, especially supporters of a particular opinion
- 13. Mobilise - if you mobilize a group of people, or if they mobilize, they come together in order to achieve something
- 14. Repercussion - the effect that an action, event, or decision has on something, especially a bad effect
- 15. Spat - a short argument
- 16. Accuse - to say that someone has done something morally wrong, illegal, or unkind
- 17. Fascist - someone who supports a political system based on a very powerful leader, state control, and being extremely proud of country and race, and in which political opposition is not allowed
- 18. Remnant - a small piece or amount of something that is left from a larger original piece or amount
- 19. Deteriorate - to become worse
- 20. Rapidly – quickly
- 21. Thereafter - continuing on from a particular point in time, especially after something else has stopped happening
- 22. Effectively - in a way that is successful and achieves what you want
- 23. Ambassador - an important official who works in a foreign country representing his or her own country there, and who is officially accepted in this position by that country
- 24. Scrap - to not continue with a system or plan or agreement
- 25. Curb - to control or limit something that is not wanted
- Migrant - a person that travels to a different country or place, often in order to find work
- 26. Ambitious - having a strong wish to be successful, powerful, or rich
- 27. Overhaul - to repair or improve something so that every part of it works as it should
- 28. Majority - the larger number or part of something
- 29. Handpick - choose very carefully
- 30. Uncontested - used to describe a decision or result which nobody opposes or disagrees with
- 31. Diplomatic - acting in a way that does not cause offence
- 32. Crisis - a time of great disagreement, confusion, or suffering
- 33. Electorate - all the people who are allowed to vote
- 34. Outreach - an effort to bring services or information to people where they live or spend time
- 35. Loyalty - support that you always give to someone or something because of your feelings of duty and love towards them
- 36. Dividend – profit
- 37. Endangering - to put someone or something at risk or in danger of being harmed, damaged, or destroyed
- 38. Prospect - the possibility that something might happen in the future
- 39. Unwise - stupid and likely to cause problems
- 40. Opted - to make a choice or decision
- 41. Showdown - a big meeting, argument, or fight that finally settles a disagreement between people or proves who is the best
- 42. Aspect - one part of a situation, problem, subject, etc
